Abstract: The article is devoted to the creative work of a prominent Ukrainian composer, well known in the Polish music scene, Myroslav Skoryk, in particular, his polyphonic cycle of preludes and fugues for piano. A detailed musicological and performance analysis of two preludes and fugues – № 1 C major and № 6 F major is carried out, stylistic and interpretive particularities of the performance of these minicycles are considered.
